I have a love/hate relationship with this show. I love it when its on. And I hate it when it is over. I really enjoy getting into it and letting my mind wonder. But when I am not entranced in front of the TV I often wonder why I even watch it. It takes up a lot of my brain function.
So when it is over I will celebrate. I will celebrate because I will have some answers that I have wanted for a few years. But I will also celebrate because I will have the part of my brain back that I have dedicated to this show for far to long now.

Slugger
I absolutely LOVE this picture! We went to our niece's 1st T-ball game this weekend and we had a blast. She has some skills and she is pretty darn cute in her uniform. And how can you not get a giggle seeing that outfielder sitting on the ground?
Side note: Landon learned to spit sunflower seeds while we were in the stands.

The Bigger They Are The Harder They Fall
Everyone has heard that saying. But I have a new one of my own: The Bigger They Are The Easier They Are To Pick.
Last night I was pulling some weeds in my front yard. An amazingly fun job!! And I realized that the bigger the weed, the easier it was to pull and get the roots. The little small ones that were just starting to grow where hard to get a hold of. And when I did grab them I would yank the leaves off but not be able to get the roots. But.....the ones that were HUGE (You all have them) were much easier to remove. The giant ones that came to about my knee. Those things were easy to get out. I could just grab those trunks and pull root and all.
So I am thinking if we all just let them get to knee high we will save ourselves a lot of time and energy getting those pesky things out. Wonder if I can get all my neighbors on board?

Flying Child
Things you would miss if you didn't have a trampoline in your living room:
This may seem like a strange place for a trampoline, but these days at the Day household nothing is considered strange. We walk out in the garage to pour a glass of milk, we have an nonworking stove in the kitchen, we have an un-assembled playground in the garage, we walk around with umbrellas opened in the living room, we still haven't changed all the clocks to daylight savings time, oh yeah....and we have flying children in the living room. There is never a dull moment!

100th Post
This is kinda a big deal for me. 100! May not seem huge, but it something that I never thought I would do.
So to celebrate I am going to do a post of quotes from "In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day." It is a book that I recently read that has spoke volumes into my life. It is a game changer. A book that will change the trajectory of your life. Just to read through this list gets me excited and inspired all over again.

- A sense of destiny is our birthright as followers of Christ.
- Taking no risk is the greatest risk of all.
- We're called to chase lions.
- Spiritual maturity is seeing and seizing God-ordained opportunities.
- God loves impossible odds.
- Lion chasers know God is bigger and more powerful than any problem they face in this world.
- Most of our problems are perceptual.
- God is great because nothing is too big or small for Him.
- How big is your God?
- When you read Scripture, our brains are rewired in alignment with the Word, and we develop the mind of Christ.
- Worship is forgetting what is wrong with you and remembering what is right with God.
- Faith is embracing uncertainty.
- Some of your experiences won't make sense this side of eternity.
- The more your willing to risk, the more God can use you.
- You can't experience success without risking failure.
- If you want to see and seize God-ordained opportunities, you've got to live in prayer mode.
- Maturity doesn't equal conformity.
- To be like Jesus is to be consumed with passion.
- Maybe God allows the odds to be stacked against us so He can reveal more of His glory.
- God wants you to get where God wants you to go more than you want to get where God wants you to go.

Tile
This project has consumed my life for the past week so I might as well blog about it.
I realized that I am obsessed yesterday, it started like this:
We had to take our laundry over to my wife's brothers house to do a quick load of her work clothes, because she is out of clean clothes. We had to do this because our washer and dryer have been in the garage UNPLUGGED for a week now. And when we did this we stopped into McDonalds for a bite to eat, because our oven is out there also. Then it hit me. Instead of deciding on nuggets with that amazing new sweet chili sauce or a big mac what was I doing? I was checking out the tile and the grout lines. Yep, I'm obsessed.
So I will share a few preview pics. We are not close to done, and when we are there will be more pics I am sure.(This is the dishwasher, or lack there of)(This is an L shaped cut. Only took about 5 times)
(This is the laundry room. Almost done.)
I will not show pictures of:
The 6000 spacers spread all around the kitchen.
The gigantic trash pile that is consuming the garage.
The extension cords all over to plug in spot light, wet saw, and frig in the garage.
The disaster of counter tops in the kitchen.
The stupid pinched nerve in my knee that I am lucky enough to now have.

I'm Hooked
I know this is getting old, me posting about reading. But I'm hooked on good books. I am seriously looking forward to when we get to retreat to our room at night and read a bit before bed. It is nice. And so far no duds for books. I wanted to show the books I have read so I did a little photoshop work to get them together. Photoshop, fun but crazy complicated. And NO instructions!!
